The Disaster Data & Recovery (DDR) Tracker is an independent data initiative designed to increase transparency and understanding of hazard mitigation investments in Hillsborough County, FL.

Data Sourcing

Data is pulled directly from the OpenFEMA API. We specifically track the Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Projects v4 and HMGP Disaster Summaries v2 datasets.

Mitigation Goals

Hazard mitigation reduces loss of life and property by minimizing the impact of future disasters. This tracker shows where investments like generators, flood proofing, and drainage improvements are being made.

LMS Working Group

This data is intended to support the Hillsborough County Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Working Group in their ongoing efforts to build a more resilient community.
